BEL CANTO DUO

"The musicianship, preparedness and timbre of sound were of the highest order. The blend of oboe and English horn with our Steinway was so beautiful and uplifting.”

- Gerry Putnam, Producer

CedarHouse Sound & Mastering

"Siegfried Idyll," a symphonic poem... built off the opening melodies. Some of the richness of the sound was dissipated by the acoustic peculiarities of the architecture, but the piece featured excellent solo work by Darci Gamerl on oboe.”

- Lawrance Burnabo, Duluth News Tribune

"The centerpiece of the program was Antonin DvoÅ™ák's "Serenade for Winds," This was a charmingly playful piece, and the interplay between Darci Gamerl on oboe and Ted Schoen on clarinet was utterly delightful."

- Lawrance Burnabo, Duluth News Tribune

"Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4 has the distinction of being the first DSSO piece back in 1933...A moody melody by Darci Gamerl's oboe began the second movement...

-Lawrance Bernabo, for the News Tribune
